A Hand Full of Hope
The Windsor-Essex Children's Aid Society believes that volunteers are a valuable asset and provide a vital link in the delivery of services to children in our community. In 2002-2003, volunteers donated more than 35,000 hours of service.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our agency. They govern our activities through our board of directors and they take part in important committees, which steer the way we do business. Our volunteers make special programs like the Transportation program, 1:1 Mentoring and Tutoring programs a reality.
Volunteer Services Department
The Volunteer Services department of the Windsor Essex County Children's Aid Society exists for the purpose of enhancing and supporting agency initiatives by providing the community with volunteer opportunities. Volunteer Services aims to strengthen volunteer involvement within the agency and provide a safe and rewarding environment for our volunteers through support and leadership.
There are many volunteer opportunities available offering a variety of hours. Your commitment can range from a minimum of four hours per month to however many hours you choose. All volunteers are subject to an extensive screening process including a police background check.
